Notwithstanding a genuine groundswell of social anger and discontent with demands for greater freedom and democracy, the increasing violence and mob tyranny of Hong Kong's protests, combined with a hate-police campaign, reveal a hidden side of the story, which is still unfolding with no end in sight.
With a plethora of fake news and one-sided reportage in Western and pro-activist media, the following video clips, some of which protesters and sympathizers may well consider propaganda, should at least suggest pause for thought –
