The World Economic Forum encapsulates this in what it calls the world's "Fourth Industrial Revolution". 

Recent Mckinsey research portraits this in what it depicts as a new Era of Global Digitization .

All of the above are quietly captured, at least in part, by China's One Belt, One Road initiative.
