According to McKinsey research, "By 2030, 5 billion people—60 percent of the world’s population—will
live in cities, compared with 3.6 billion today, turbocharging the
world’s economic growth". In an age of connectivity, value chain competitive mobility, resource scarcity, and social and environmental consciousness, there is a race in making cities smarter and more intelligent. The competition is becoming more poignant as more and more countries enter the urbanization phase of development.
