(My quarterly Newsletters go out to some 8,000 professional contacts worldwide. The following is my October 2026 issue. Back numbers may be accessed under What is New on my website.)
Greetings!
Thanks to President Trump’s Mafia-like imperialism, the postwar World Order of norms and rules has gone out of the window. Meanwhile, the Ukraine and Iran wars have massively disrupted global supply chains. Many countries, including the Global South, are recalibrating their relationships with the United States. Despite differences. they are rallying together in a common quest for a more stable world order.
Whether and how long these global dynamics will bear fruit remains to be seen. But there seems little doubt the world is now facing a watershed moment.
The following may hopefully offer some fresh perspectives.
