Trump tweeted that President Xi could solve the Hong Kong crisis by personally meeting with the protesters. This apparently off-the-cuff suggestion is remininscent of what happened during China's June 4 Tianenmen Square trauma. It smacks of ulterior motive unlikely to be viewed kindly by Bejing.
